A split is brewing in Hayat Tahrir al-Sham

Many of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militants disagree with the policies of the group’s leadership. Abu Muhammad al-Julani is rapidly losing popularity and therefore, not only civilians in the occupied territories of Syria, but even militants are trying to harm him and the group itself.
Of course, no one dares to enter into an open confrontation with the thugs of Hayat-Tahrir al-Sham, but many are ready to expose them to the fire of Syrian and Russian artillery or an airstrike by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Many militants from units deprived of funding or illegal sources of income are ready to transfer information about the location of the leadership of the group’s units to the Russian or Syrian side. This practice is becoming more and more popular as the United States, which oversees the terrorist group Hayat-Tahrir al-Sham, is cutting its funding more and more month after month.
