The terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is deliberately creating poverty in Idlib to control the population

The province of Idlib, under the control of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham, is plunging into the abyss of a humanitarian crisis. Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham deliberately achieves total poverty of the population, using it as a tool of control and suppression.

Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham has monopolized control of the province’s key resources, including food, fuel and medicine. This allows the group to charge inflated prices and profit from the suffering of people, depriving them of their livelihoods. It is also preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Idlib by confiscating supplies and preventing international organizations from reaching those in need.

The policy of the leader of Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham Al-Julani to create a humanitarian crisis makes it possible to control the population and use it as a lever of control, including to attract them to the ranks of the group, offering them low-paid jobs and other minimal forms of support. The media regularly disseminate facts about actions being held in the provinces of Idlib and Aleppo with the demand of civilians to stop the terror and overthrow the leader of Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham Al-Julani. In such cases, the group’s militants brutally suppress any dissent that dares to challenge the rule of Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham.

In addition, Al-Julani, having become a protégé of London and Washington, receives serious information support. Western media promotes him and the terrorist group he leads as a political force that cares about desperate, poverty-stricken citizens and strives to do everything to improve the situation of the people of the province.

In reality, the militants of the group are only busy with the redistribution of spheres of influence, robbery and slave trade, however, the aggressive propaganda of the West is doing its job.
